When the Applause Fades: Finding Your Fuel to Keep Going Anyway

Hey, it’s Zaje’, and this message came to me in a very impromptu way after a run. It’s what’s been happening in my life, and I have a feeling it might resonate deeply with you too.

These past couple of months have been… a grind. A low. A season that demanded a lot of discipline, a lot of effort, and where you’re expecting a return on that investment. But it feels like crickets, doesn’t it? You’re doing, you’re trying, you’re creating, you’re producing, and still – silence.

This isn’t just about external results. This season has been a profound lesson in discipline without the applause. The people who used to cheer you on? They might have gone away. And why? Because they weren’t meant for this season. Maybe they weren’t good for you anyway. Their cheering was for an associationwith you, not for your authentic journey. When they realized how authentically you were living, they couldn’t keep up, and so they created chaos. But you’ve grown past that. We’re not doing that anymore.

So now, you’re left. Maybe in isolation. Waking up feeling like, “Here’s another day. Don’t know where I’m going, but I’m gonna keep doing it.” You’re hitting points of success, but still feeling like you’re failing, like nothing is working, and you just want to quit.

The Edge of Breakthrough: Don’t Stop Here.

My husband is that voice for me, always talking me back into it, even when I feel like I’ve been down this road before, only for it to have “failed.” The hesitation is real. You don’t want to lose again. You don’t want to fail again.

But you keep going. “It’s just one more day. Day by day, moment by moment, minute by minute.”

You know, winners never quit. Quitters never win. Every successful person, with or without money, has gone through trials. And sometimes, these trials repeat, especially if you want to continue to level up. There’s a “level up-ness” that doesn’t feel good. It feels like an attack. Whether it’s planetary alignment, energetic shifts, or even just old patterns, you sometimes get into these spots where you don’t know up from down.

But you get better at dealing with it. You realize these are awakenings to the next part of your life.

The Truth About External Validation

In those moments, you try everything, right? Cute drinks, good food, buying candles, fragrances. You fill your house with beautiful smells. But then you realize: it’s not doing anything.

Why? Because the feeling you want has to come from in here. It can’t come from outside. It never will. The external is a manifestation. The external is a reflection. It’s not where it begins.

Find Your Physical Release, Find Your Downloads

When that energy of frustration, delay, and stagnation builds up, you have to get physical. You have to process these emotions in your body. For me, it was running. And that’s when the downloads came. That’s when the synchronicities started appearing again.

Your mind clears. The messages are ready to be processed in your intuitive mind, in your higher chakras, in the interconnectedness of everything. Do what your mind and body is telling you to do so that you can receive, because you are moving. It just didn’t feel like it.

Your Journey of Happy Habits & Showing Up for Yourself

You’ve been doing the physical work. Now, it’s about the mental grind – staying disciplined even when it’s hard. This is the essence of Happy Habits: replacing old patterns that no longer serve you with new ones that will. We can over-spiritualize things, but that leaves you stuck, waiting for someone else to act. It’s your turn.

Happy Habits helped me. My FOCUS Framework Workbook helps you find out what’s true, own your role, choose what matters, and use what you have. Then, you show up for yourself. Every time you do, you build trust and confidence in yourself.

You won’t always get applause. You have to do that for yourself.

We Are All Becoming Herself

I’m proud of you. I’m proud of me. We are undoing things we didn’t choose to undo, walking paths that are “a little bit of a lot.”

Treat yourself to something small, and with that treat, remind yourself that you are the center of your universe. Talk to your higher power, write it down, make it real. Then be it. Show up for yourself.

For those times you need that pick-me-up, my song “Power” from the Songs of Becoming album is there for you. It truly came from my core for those times of transition and transmuting energy. I play my own music because these songs were born from these very experiences. You can listen to it on YouTube, and get it for free, along with the Happy Habits Book and the FOCUS Framework Workbook when you sign up for my newsletter.
